Long Island Wedding Photographer | Maria + Tim
Last Thursday I went back home to Long Island for a long weekend to celebrate my 23rd birthday and most importantly, to photograph my cousin's engagement pictures. I actually went back home last October (2012) to do Maria and Tim's engagement pictures, but Hurricane Sandy had other plans and decided to blow through my hometown. I promised I wouldn't bring any bad weather with me this time and it turned out to be the most gorgeous day!
I'm going to get a little sappy for a second here. I don't have an older sister, but that doesn't mean that I didn't have anyone to look up to growing up. Luckily I grew up in a super close family and my cousins were always my best friends. Family dinners were the highlight of my week when me and my cousin's would play Man Hunt, Red Rover and Red Light Green Light in my Nonna's backyard. Now I come from a big Italian family and I have lots of cousins, but Maria is my closest girl cousin in age to me. I thought she was the coolest person ever when I was growing up.. well, she still is ;) I never had to worry about not having an older sister because she was always there for me to talk to, to hang out with and just be goofy with. I can't believe this time next year you will be getting married and I am so excited to stand by your side as you marry Tim. I love seeing you light up when you talk about him or are around him. Seeing you happy makes me smile. Thank you Tim for being an amazing man for my cousin. I love you both!!
We started out at the Arboretum and it was absolutely gorgeous. I mean, you really couldn't ask for better light.
After the Arboretum, we drove over to Robert Moses and almost froze our butts off.. but it was so worth it! I haven't been to Field 5 in years.. it was fun to reminisce about the good times!
